It is with regret that we inform you that Chris van Zyl, ex 3 Commando passed away yesterday the 5th December 2011.

Chris is survived by his sister Liz and brother Willie.

There will be a memorial service at 11h00 on Friday 9th December at the building on the corner of Black Reef and Chikoba Roads in Lambton, Germiston, Gauteng.

Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Chris at this time of tragedy.

Chris went to Mabelreign Boys High School in Salisbury from 1964-1968
He then served with the RLI from 1968- 1976. After the Army Chris worked for
Air Products / Union Carriage and Saltrama Plastics.
Chris had to have his leg amputated after an accident in 1995
